Word of the Week 4/28/18

Hear This One

By Annette Rey

You’ll love this one.

Grok – used in Stranger in a Strange Land (1961) by Robert A. Heinlein.

It is a verb and means to understand thoroughly and intuitively, and to communicate sympathetically.

It is considered slang so I would use the word in casual and informal writing.

Ratty, that’s why you be the boss, man. You grok that deal.

Grok this, Bugsy!

Delilah sure groks that boy.

I like the sound that word makes!
